This is another way of saying the cheating is in no way your fault. You cannot control whether or not your cheater chooses to continue their sinful ways. There is really nothing you can do about that.

We are responsible for our own actions.

This is a hard life lesson. And yet it can be freeing as we let go of false control recognizing what was done to us was outside of our control always.

It is important to remember our cheaters had other options than to choose a life of deceit and abuse of us. They made those choices that brought us harm.  We are not responsible for our own abuse.
