ONLY THE HUMBLE HAVE ACCESS…

Not everyone is able to hear the word of the Lord in this hour. Not all are able to comprehend what He is about. Because He is not speaking to the masses or the crowds. He is not talking to “whosoever will.” He is speaking to those who are humble of heart and who tremble at His Word. It is those who are truly broken and contrite who will hear His voice and speak His word in this hour.

“Thus says the Lord: ‘Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool; what is the House that you would build for Me, and what is the place of My rest? …But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at My word.’” (Isaiah 66:1-2)

This is an hour of decision and choice; an hour of redirection and rebuilding. He is speaking to those who have a greater fear of Him than they do a fear of men. It is those who are not looking for approval or appeal, but looking for Truth. They are those who will hear and see what is on His mind.

The word of the Lord in this hour will not come from large platforms or filled auditoriums. It will not come through commercialized channels or popular brands. It will come through those who are broken of spirit and laid low at the altar of total surrender. It is those who have forsaken the houses of men in order to pursue the House of the Lord who will hear Him speak.

Not all hearts and minds are in a position to receive. Not all can comprehend the Word and the ways of the Lord in this hour. For He is not appealing to all. He is calling out to those who have come to the end of themselves. They have come to the end of striving and pursuing their own will and their own ways. They are willing to lay it all down for the sake of The One.

For the word of the Lord has been blasphemed and contrived. It has been manufactured and manipulated by souls unwilling to humble themselves. But no more. His Word cannot be formed into the image of man. It cannot be altered to suit men’s egos or build men’s platforms. No more. He will speak, but He will close the ears of those who have been unwilling to go low. He will stop the ears of those who have misused and misapplied His word for their own gain. He will bypass the proud and go straight to the humble.

For the Lord is building His Father’s House and establishing the place of His rest. It is only available to the humble of heart. To those who have trembled at His voice. For the entrance to His House can only be entered on one’s knees.

His Word is like fire and will bear witness on its own merit. It will cut to the heart and render one weak. And yet it will rightly position those who receive it, and give them access to the place of His presence where only the humble can enter and go in.

        THE COST OF LEAVING

God is doing a radical work within the Body of Christ that is both painful and costly. A Refiner’s fire is sweeping through the Church that is testing both character and conduct. He is lifting the standard of righteousness and seeing who can pass through the flames as purified vessels. And to bring us through safely, He is calling many to walk away from what was once “home.”

YES, GOD STILL SPEAKS THROUGH REVELATION

For those who feel strongly about basing everything on the written Word, what role does “revelation” have in forming our beliefs and practices? Isn’t recorded Scripture enough to determine sound doctrine? How do we receive and understand revelation given by the Holy Spirit? If we have the Word, why do we need further revelation? Let me share the evidence I found that not only proves the power of revelation, but the necessity of it if we are to fulfill our commission...

PURSUING HIS PRESENCE MORE THAN HIS PROPHETS

Why is it that prophetic ministry always comes under such scrutiny? Why do prophetic voices gain so much attention and cause such a stir? What is it about prophecy that causes such controversy on the one hand, and such hunger on the other? I believe one of the primary reasons is that true prophecy opens the door to the unseen realm. Pure prophetic operation reveals a supernatural God and realities not otherwise experienced or known to our flesh. It is a tangible demonstration that we can hear God’s voice and even know God’s heart. And though most of our understanding of prophecy comes from the New Testament, I find an interesting statement from Moses in the Old Testament that points to a core value of the prophetic.

        When Worry Steals Your Joy

My husband, Steve, and I sat anxiously in our seats. I wondered if I was going to be able to endure the ride, especially knowing my propensity for motion sickness. But we began nonetheless. The guide strapped all passengers into the tiny boats and gave last minute instructions. Of course there were life preservers, but what good would they do in the fierce rapids that threatened to suck its prey below the surface? Read more...
