PURSUE TRUTH, REGARDLESS OF THE COST

God is cleaning house. Big time. In order to do this, He must separate the true from the false, and the pure from the profane. This can only happen when Truth is both revealed AND received.

God chose you as the first fruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.

    (2 Thess 2:13)

It’s not enough to desire truth. We must believe it and embrace it when it’s revealed. Jesus asked His Father to “Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth” (John 17:17). He knew the only way we would be “one” with the Father would be through this sanctification process that would set us apart from all that is of the world and of the flesh. And it all starts with knowing the truth. Not perceptions, opinions, or personal preferences – but a revelation of all that is absolutely true.

Immediately after Jesus prayed this, He was led to the garden where one of his close friends betrayed Him and His band of 12 was thrown into chaos. The truth that needed to be known was shocking, painful, and costly. It caused His disciples to waiver in unbelief and cling to self-preservation. It created division within the ranks as they sought to interpret this new reality thrust upon them. It also, unexpectedly, removed the member that was not true to the cause, but given to personal gain and enemy influence.

Scripture states that the truth will set us free (John 8:32). But it first requires a circumcision of the heart – a cutting away of anything that is false and untrue. Even seeming division within the camp is not a bad thing, but a necessary work of sanctification. The faster we embrace the truth, including any pain and discomfort – the sooner we come into a true oneness of His Spirit that cannot be shaken or altered by man.

We cannot settle for compromise in order to appease. We must pursue the truth, regardless of the cost. It’s the only way to lasting freedom and the unity we so desperately need. (1 Thess 5:23)

PURSUING HIS PRESENCE MORE THAN HIS PROPHETS

Why is it that prophetic ministry always comes under such scrutiny? Why do prophetic voices gain so much attention and cause such a stir? What is it about prophecy that causes such controversy on the one hand, and such hunger on the other? I believe one of the primary reasons is that true prophecy opens the door to the unseen realm. Pure prophetic operation reveals a supernatural God and realities not otherwise experienced or known to our flesh. It is a tangible demonstration that we can hear God’s voice and even know God’s heart. And though most of our understanding of prophecy comes from the New Testament, I find an interesting statement from Moses in the Old Testament that points to a core value of the prophetic.

        SACRED COWS AND STRANGE FIRE

The knife that is cutting through His house is no respecter of persons. God does not set aside our favorites. He does not overlook compromise or spiritual corruption to salvage men’s reputations. Nor will allow His anointing to be weaponized by those who only seek the glory for themselves. He is a holy God and NO ONE can touch His glory. No one is above His discipline or correction. And because of the buildup of dung in His pantry, the stench can no longer be tolerated. No prophet or apostle, teacher or pastor, or any other leader in God’s house will escape His cleansing wrath.

        THE WEIGHT OF PERFECT LOVE

I had an unexpected dream the other night that called my attention to the depth of the Father’s love when dealing with sin in His people… When I woke up, I was struck by my reaction in the dream. Knowing the doctrinal errors and spiritual deception this young woman has been operating in, I was surprised at what the Lord was revealing…

A New Wineskin for a CHARISMATIC REFORMATION

This reform is not rejection of the Charismatic emphasis on the Holy Spirit, but a refinement—where power is submitted to purity, and gifting is governed by godliness. The Church is being invited into a season of divine pruning so it may bear lasting fruit (John 15:2). The question is not just whether we want revival, but whether we are willing to become vessels that can carry it well.
