  1. Joshua was called by God to succeed Moses- Joshua 1 vs 2,’…Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.’

He commanded the sun and moon to stand still until he defeated all his enemies- Joshua 10 vs 12,’…Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.

  14. The Lord gave Israel rest from their entire enemies roundabout under his leadership- Joshua 23 vs 1,’…And it came to pass a long time after that the Lord had given rest unto Israel from all their enemies round about, that Joshua waxed old and stricken in age.’
  15. He led Israel to renew the covenant with God- Joshua 24
  16. He died at 110- Joshua 24 vs 29,’… And Joshua wrote these words in the book of the law of God, and took a great stone, and set it up there under an oak that was by the sanctuary of the Lord.’
