Reasonable, Watchful, and Armored: Confronting the Real Enemy  - A Nighttime Prayer

1x
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the power of the dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the evil comes you may be able to stand your ground.  – Ephesians 6:12-13

Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.  Resist him, firm in your faith… – 1 Peter 5:8-9

Please Pray:

Father, help me to prioritize your truth in my life so that I can walk in the power of your strength. I know that, as your word says, "Our struggle is not against flesh and blood." We have a genuine spiritual enemy that you have already beaten—give me your eyes to see that this is the truth when it doesn't feel true. Help me stand firm in my faith in you and your finished work as I live daily in this broken world. I ask that you help me rely on you to stay reasonable, watchful and to put on your armor of protection. In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
