Seasonal Affective Disorder.

SAD is a type of depression that happens during a certain season of the year—most often fall and winter.
There is no clear cause of SAD. Less sunlight and shorter days are thought to be linked to a chemical change in the brain and may be part of the cause of seasonal affective disorder (SAD).
Seasonal Affective Disorder warning signs.
- Not experiencing pleasurable activities. Fun things just aren’t fun anymore.
- Isolation. Poeple dealing with SAD tend to pull away from others.
- Decreased appetite/ increased appetite. These changes both can be a sign of seasonal depression
- Sleeping too much or too little. This season can cause changes in sleep.
All of these are signs of depression and they may be cuased by the season we are in.
The holiday season is a time for a lot of fun with family and freinds and also a time for lonliness and isolation.
Understand that this can happen and it might be the weather, cold and lack of sunlight that is making you feel that way.
Fight it with the simple suggestions I have given previously.
If this season is causing seroius problems in your life and relationships get help.
Talk to someone who will come along side you to help you throught this.
Please above all understand that this is a season and the seasons change.
Spring and summer will soon be here and you and things will change.
