Seasonal Changes Represent Promise and Stability - Jewell Utt

While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22 ESV

Isn’t it wonderful, in these changing times, to know some things will never change while the Earth exists? That’s why seasonal changes represent promise and stability. Something tangible on which we can count. With Spring comes …

    Light, Life and Hope

The hope that we are closer to the end of Covid, which brought sudden and unexpected change into our world.

We’ve endured a season of restrictions for one year now; hit hardest by confinement, wearing masks, and social distancing.  We are left to wonder what permanent impact Covid will have on our lives. Not to mention the effect on those who have had the virus and continue to fight fatigue and the after effects.

When we look back on this time in history, we may find some changes actually worked better, saved money, and caused us to focus on what’s most important.

The impact of change is best seen in the rear-view mirror. As we reflect on our lives, we can see seasons of growth, seasons we’d prefer to forget, and seasons of expectation. Through it all, we learn the lessons only trial and error teach.

In this generation, we will see tech savvy, entrepreneurs raised up as a result of how they’ve adjusted to change.

So much of life is unpredictable; this year for certain has been. But when we look at the accomplishments and ability to work under the restrictions we’ve had, we see a host of creativity and warmth. People are softer, safer and they’ve learned to wash their hands.

Community Blend has come a long way in 2021. With the undergirding of our powerful prayer team, we struggled through the nonprofit paperwork, anxiously awaited confirmation and acceptance to become a 501c3, enlisted a Board of Directors, volunteers, gained financial support, secured a location, purchased all equipment needed to open, and held our first event. A success!
