Sermon and prayer points for divine acceleration

Memorise: “And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus” (1 Timothy 1:14)

Read: Acts 4:1-4

graceWhile some are trekking, others are riding on horse back. To ride is to make unusual progress. What took place on the day of Pentecost is an example of riding on horse back. After the ascension of Jesus, Peter went into his shell. He could not boast of a convert from 10 sermons.

All he could do was join the others in the upper room praying. Then Pentecost came. The Holy Spirit came to earth and the feast of Pentecost was disrupted. With one sermon, the congregation of Pastor Peter increased from 120 to 3,120 (Acts 2:41). That is unusual progress. Imagine 3000 souls won and added to your present church congregation in one day. For many churches, that will be a good problem.

There may be no space, chairs, speakers, lights or even workers and ministers to accommodate such a crowd. The kind of progress that so exceeds your capacity or container to the extent that you have to immediately design larger ones is unusual progress. From now on, that will be your portion in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ.

Riding on horse back also means galloping progress. Pastor Peter’s church was faced with severe challenges of counselling, discipline, ushering, and visiting the new comers. Even to collect offering in each meeting was such a challenge. Then he preached another sermon. Who sent him?

Suddenly, the congregation moved from 3,120 to 8,120 in one day. In just a few days, a small church of 120 people had become a super mega church of 8120. That is unusual progress! For a reader of this Devotional, the Lord is opening to you an unusual door. The transformation you are about to witness will be so sharp, and extensive that you will think you are dreaming for quite some time. When the Lord fulfils His Word in your life, be thankful to Him, testify of it and move on to a higher level of commitment to Him. Unusual progress is your portion.

The time has come for you to stop trekking. It is time to ride on horse back. From today, everything responsible for trekking in your life, family, ministry, or academics will be dealt with. Every spirit assigned from hell to stop you from riding on horse back shall be paralysed. It is your turn. It is your time. God is behind you. Take time to worship God for your next level of blessings.

According to Ephesians 3:20, You who can do far beyond my requests, cause me to experience progress far beyond my dreams and wishes in Jesus’ Name.
