Skillet's John Cooper is Still Asking: What in God's Name is Happening to Christianity? — The Alisa Childers Podcast #91

Hi Alisa,

I'm a youth pastor in Atlanta, GA. I stumbled upon "AG: Christ Crucified" recently and enjoyed hearing your testimony. I ended up inviting some of our students over to my house to watch (it was my second time). I've been in ministry for 13 years and have seen a dramatic decline in Biblical literacy and true doctrine. As a pastor, I feel so overwhelmed for my students; I'm burdened for my students. There is deconstruction pervasive in the church. Here's my opinion that has happened in the church: the trauma of 2020 hasn’t created anything NEW in people. Instead, it has unearthed the hidden places of people’s hearts. We’re not seeing a tremendous change in peoples’ beliefs or convictions, we’re seeing a change in peoples’ behaviors. The areas of our lives that we used to be able to keep a secret has been exposed.

God is raising up shepherds who have a great burden for His people and His Church. As men and women who shepherd people, let's pray God grants us the gift of a greater burden for the souls of people and (mostly) a burden for the glory of God.

We have a podcast titled, "Extended Access." I'd be HONORED if you briefly checked it out.

I pray God continues to bless you and your incredible ministry.
