Sunday Stillness – What type of glue are you using?

From Jesus Calling – September 2:

Living in dependence on Me is a glorious adventure. Most people scurry around busily, trying to accomplish things in their own strength and ability. Some succeed enormously; others fail miserably. Both groups miss what life is meant to be: living and working in collaboration with Me (Jesus Calling, Sarah Young, September 2).

I read from Acts 17:28 in the NCV.

We live in Him. We walk in Him. We are in Him ( I found this in my own Bible, The Answer, New Century Version – but I can’t find these exact words on the Internet).

and from The Message:

I had to ask myself.

Am I really living in collaboration with Jesus?

I thought back to when I felt Him the most this summer. I have to say it happened during VBS – I got sick and relied on Him totally to feel joy, peace and actually have strength to continue.

Right now I am counting on Him again as I fight a sinus/ear problem that gives me a sound like a heartbeat in my head. I am learning to pray to be able to concentrate.

But it is also in everything I do – I try to be part of His plan. I love the word “collaborate”.

Definition of Collaborate:

work jointly on an activity, especially to produce or create something.

One synonym is glue yourself to.
