Tests Lead to Testimonies

A Simple Truth

God is able to take the mess of our past and turn it into a message. He takes the trials and tests and turns them into a testimony. (Christine Caine)

God Values Honesty Not Pretense

Christians want to share triumphant testimonies, rather than their failures. But when our message highlights the mercy and glory of God, honesty about who we are is valuable.

The gospel stories about Jesus were eyewitness accounts. His twelve apostles shared their Savior’s teachings and miracles—and their own failures. Again and again, the apostles blew it. Yet they decided honestly recording their bad actions and words was more important than looking good.

The spotlight is on Jesus.

And that’s where it should be.
