The Beautiful Blue World Part 2

Great sorrow filled the hearts of the man and his wife. They now knew that they were in fact rebels against the Ruler of the world of the Light. They also understood that they did not deserve safe passage through the dark blackness. And they could not fully grasp how the Son of the Light would give up His life for theirs.

After the messenger left, the man and his wife bowed their heads and gave thanks to the Son of the Light for having compassion on them and allowing them passage to the world of Light. After a time they went to visit with their families and friends to tell them this great news. One after another replied, “We are quite happy to live in the blue world. It is a beautiful place to live and we would be quite pleased to live here forever.” When the man and his wife reminded them of the black darkness, they became hostile and very angry. For in those days, men put the black darkness out of their minds, though the blackness enveloped the blue world often in men’s lives.

As the man and his wife lived on, they continued to speak of the world of Light and the One who lives forever. Some heard, gladly, of this new world and believed. Others said, “We would like to hear of this again, but not now. Come again and speak to us at a more convenient time.” Sadly, most walked away, not wanting to hear anymore of the world of Light and the One who ruled this world.

One day the man and his wife became quite alarmed and were filled with great dread. “What of our children that live with us in the blue world? Will the ruler of the world of Light grant them passage through the blackest darkness, or will they be enveloped in it forever?” Together they spent many days and nights in agony as they pondered what would become of them. For they now understood that they were given these children only temporarily.
