    The Christmas Story DAY 12

    Christmas story

    Matthew 2:3

    troubled…

The magi were looking for the King of the Jews.

Herod was troubled because he feared being replaced. All of Jerusalem was troubled also.

A new King was a threat to the status-quo.

Nobody likes to change, sometimes even change for the good.

Herod built the temple, Herod took care of crime in the streets, he was a bit crazy, but the Jewish community had adjusted.

Why would we need a new King and must change all over again? Why change? We are comfortable in our pain and misery.

From the beginning Jesus was a threat to the normal way of life.

What changes are you afraid to make?
