The Lord is Rich to All Who Call on Him

New JerusalemWhen we turn our hearts to the Lord, “we all with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as from the Lord Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:18). This transformation is from one stage of glory to another stage; a clear indication that transformation is for the city of glory, New Jerusalem.

It was through the transforming work of the Lord the Spirit that Peter and then the other apostles were transformed into precious stones.
Paul speaks of the Lord the Spirit in 2 Corinthians 3:18….The Lord the Spirit is the One who does the work of transformation.
The Lord the Spirit makes everything of Christ subjective to us. As we contact Him by calling on Him, He transforms us. He transforms us by dispensing His divine element into our being. The result of this dispensing is not an outward, corrective change but an inward, metabolic change.*

We can contact the Lord by calling on Him to receive His dispensing. This is Romans 10:12, “the same Lord is Lord of all and rich to all who call upon Him.” His being rich to us is His dispensing into our being. This constitutes us with the element of New Jerusalem.

Calling was strongly practiced by the early New Testament believers (Acts 9:14, 21; 1 Cor. 1:2; 2 Tim 2:22). May this calling rise up more in our age and open us to receive the Lord’s dispensing for New Jerusalem.
