The Wisdom of Waiting for a Bigger Hand

Have you ever tried to grab all the blessings you could with your own two hands, only to realize how small they truly are?

There is a beautiful story about young Herbert Hoover. When a storekeeper offered him a free handful of candy, the boy hesitated. He didn't reach in. Instead, he waited for the owner to scoop the candy for him. Later, he explained to his father, "Because his hand is much bigger than mine!"

In our walk with God, we often rush to grab what we think we need. But true faith is standing still and letting our Heavenly Father reach into His infinite storehouse for us. His "handful" is always more than we could ever gather on our own. Today, stop striving with your small hands and trust the generous, giant hand of God.
