TIME TO FLY

Whatever spiritual level you are currently operating in, there is higher level for you. Isaiah 40:31 says there is room for walking, running and flying. At what level are you? Some people are going to fly with the wings of the eagle.

Those who are walking or running may still be threatened by mountains but those who are already flying will just soar over the mountains. Are you already flying spiritually? To you arise means go higher.

“But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18). This verse tells us that what we see frequently is very important. What you feed your eyes on regularly has a way of affecting who you are.

Over a period of time, you take on the essence of what you see. To move from one level of glory to another, you will need to keep looking on the Lord. The closer you come to the Lord, the more of His glory you see.

How close you follow the Lord determines the possible height of glory you can attain in that relationship. In Mark 14:50-54, after Jesus was arrested and His disciples forsook Him, Peter followed Him at a distance.

Today, many still follow Christ from a distance. Do you serve God only when you are happy or when its convenient for you? Do you attend church services only on Sundays? Do you seldom read your bible?

Do you find it a struggle to regularly watch with Jesus for one hour? If you say yes to any of the above, you are following the Lord from afar. If you say yes to all, then you are already backslidden. Return to Him today.

Those who will fly spiritually must be ready to go the extra mile. They must be ready to pay the price. Moses climbed up to the mountain to fellowship with God. He kept beholding His glory for 40 days.

By the time he descended, the glory of the Lord he had been looking at began to radiate from him, to the point that people could not look at his face for long, except with a veil on (Exodus 34:1-3, 29-35). As you begin to carry the glory of God, no enemy, problem or situation can look at your face and remain.
