What truly matters in life.

Good day beautiful people,

I hope that this message meets you well?Today I want to remind us of the importance of NOT losing track of our main purpose on earth. We need to get our priorities right by putting God first and loving others.

Revelation 4:11 ~ “You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.”

Mark 12:30-31 ~ “And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.’ The second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater than these.”

Recently the story of Martha preparing food and complaining to Christ about Mary’s lack of support, has constantly been on my heart. I believe that God has been trying to get through to me about the importance of spending QUALITY TIME with Him, and my loved ones. Sometimes we can be soooo busy preparing (cooking, decorating, cleaning etc.) to make our loved ones day special, to the point where we don’t have the energy to actually enjoy their presence. I remember one time my baby sister told me ‘Mary-Ann you spend most of the day cooking on a persons birthday, therefore we don’t have time to do anything else except quickly eat dinner’….. Please let that sink in. Sometimes we can be sooo busy just ‘doing things’ that we don’t actually accomplish the goals which are most important, such as spending more time getting to know God on a deeper level, and enjoying time with our families.

Martha was so distracted that she didn’t even realise she was missing out on having an intimate session with the Maker of the universe. Christ had a life changing message for her, a message of hope that would permanently change a listeners life for the better, if they believed! Love and everlasting life is of eternal value and it is important for us to fix our minds on such things. We can actively focus on things of higher value by bringing glory to God in all we do, by living a life committed to loving Him and others (living in obedience).

Luke 10:38-42 ~ “As Jesus and the disciples continued on their way to Jerusalem, they came to a certain village where a woman named Martha welcomed him into her home. Her sister, Mary, sat at the Lord’s feet, listening to what he taught. But Martha was distracted by the big dinner she was preparing. She came to Jesus and said, “Lord, doesn’t it seem unfair to you that my sister just sits here while I do all the work? Tell her to come and help me.” But the Lord said to her, “My dear Martha, you are worried and upset over all these details! There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.”

I do not desire to spend more time talking about God than I do WITH Him. Yes I desire to establish myself as an individual financially, but NOT if it means missing out on a great deal of time with my family. So if it means ordering food in so you can squeeze in 1 extra hour with your family, do so (in moderation and not at the expense of your health or finances). If it means taking that much needed break and saying NO to extra shifts, then say no and enjoy rest. You see satan likes to keep us busy doing stuff. Now these activities we engage in may be harmless (not evil/sinful) but can disadvantage us (not be beneficial). Certain activities/goals/aims can rob us of spending precious time with God!

1 Corinthians 10:23 ~ You say, “I am allowed to do anything” but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything” but not everything is beneficial.

So I hope like me all those reading will make the choice to spend more quality time with God and their loved ones, especially as we are going into a new year.

1 Corinthians 13:13 ~ Three things will last forever faith, hope, and love and the greatest of these is love.

Have a HAPPY, BLESSED, JOYOUS, HARMONIOUS new year. A year where God guides and directs your footsteps and gives you wisdom on how to better manage your time.

Love from

Please feel free to contact me via email for encouragement, advise or prayer (I am not a qualified counsellor, or a pastor, but I believe as a young woman I will be able to relate with SOME of the things other women around the world are going through). <<< As of Feb 2019 I completed my Counselling level 3 diploma Praise God 💃🏾. I intend to help others not in my own strength, but with the help of the Holy Spirit.
