What’s Love Got To Do With It? -June Monthly SCRIPT-TIME

HELLO June

Well HELLOOOOOO LE Family, I hope this blog reached you well and in good health!

This month I have been thinking about how we behave and share God’s Love with each other, to both those who believe and to those who are yet you find Jesus.

I have met many peopl over my years of being born again Christian and as person how had not accepted Jesus on my heart.

I wanted to take this time to look at how we love and share God’s love.

I have been taken back by some of the conversations I have heard! Some actually made my toes curl and my heart cry, I wondered have some of us become so religious and self- righteous that we have forgotten God’s new Command stated in; John 13:34, NIV: “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

Many people are hurting others by shaming and finger-pointing whilst sharing the gospel (Gods truth), Whilst God does not like sin, He still loves people.

Whilst sometimes we need to be shown what we are doing is wrong, there are ways to this lovingly, healthy and helpful! get this right and your winning! Get it wrong and you your self could be SINNING!

Let’s think about that for a second……

John 13:34, NIV:
“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.”

Read it again let that sink in, get love in your heart before we move on to today’s scripture!

John 3:17
New International Version
17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

What is your personal reflection of this passage? read the passage again slowly and hear what it is saying to you? Reflection: Fill this space with your thoughts…..for example:

God loves the world and He loves us so much He sent Jesus to die for us, not only that Jesus us Loved us so much he died for us!! Wowzers- I am thankfull.

God did not send Jesus into the world to spread Condemation but to save people and to save the world.

So as followers of Christ do we not need to be the same? to love and to bring people closer to being saved by God. Just as we are ?

If we are preaching out of fear does this help to bring them closer to our loving Jesus?

If you are living in fear, it is not from God

It doesn’t matter whether your fear is due to your own failures, due to your own insecurities, due to hateful brethren, or caused by religious leaders, it’s not from God.

God is love!

He took the penalty of your sins and allowed himself to be sacrificed on the cross in your place. He loved you when you are and when were dead in sins…

What are your personal actions for this new season, what has God said to you personally through this scripture?

Whatever you need to do, do it!

Fill this space with your actions…eg.

Do you need to Love others more?

Do you need to realsie that God does love you ?

Do you need to stop judging others?

Do you need help without condeming others?

Do you need to stop condeming yourself ?

Only you know if you have been acting Christ like or religous!

Send up your own personal prayer, remember prayer is the time when you talk to God, doesn’t have to be fancy 🙂 Prayer. If you are finding it difficult to pray you can say the prayer below to help you talk to God.

Loving God, fill my heart with the love that you so freely give. God, make love my first and last thoughts.

I pray that I may love others and freely give to them, as you do to me heavely father.

Please make my spirit a spirit of joy, happiness, and love for both my friends and my enemies. Thoes who are in chirst and thoes who are not.

Lord help me not to judge but to support, not to condem but to love, Lord ask you to take away any religous ways I have in me that hinders my relationship with others and sharing your truth.

Help me love as abundantly and freely as you have loved me. Amen.
