Experiencing delay is about waiting for answers to prayers that have been offered to God on a particular issue. We can say a Christian or someone is experiencing delay in different ways.

You will noticed that the popular stories above are related to child bearing. However, the truth is that experiencing delays is not about child bearing alone. It can also be in other areas of life.
When delay is Godly -Listen to the watchman
Sometimes, the delays are Godly. That is, God is at the center of it to bring something good out of it.

7 ways when delay is Godly
1. delay protects you from arriving before your inner structure is formed
There are destinations that collapse people who arrive too early. Joseph saw the dream early but God delayed the throne until the dreamer was reshaped. Genesis 37 showed the vision. Genesis 41 showed the timing.
The delay was not punishment. It was insulation. God will never release you into a future that your soul cannot carry. Delay is God strengthening the vessel before pouring weight.
2. delay separates you from companions who would have corrupted your destiny
Some people can walk with your prayer point but cannot survive your answered prayer. Abraham had to walk with Lot until separation occurred. Genesis 13 shows that delay forced separation. If God had accelerated Abraham too early Lot would have entered a land he was not built for. Delay is God quietly editing your associations without announcement.
3. delay allows hidden enemies to expose themselves without your intervention.
David did not touch Saul yet Saul exposed himself repeatedly. 1 Samuel 24 reveals that time reveals hearts faster than confrontation. Delay is God allowing truth to surface so you do not fight shadows. When God delays He is letting the enemy speak himself out of relevance.
4. delay matures discernment so you can recognize counterfeit doors
Not every open door is God. Samson moved fast and lost sight. Judges 16 shows speed without discernment ends in blindness. Delay teaches your spirit to listen beyond excitement. God delays so your eyes are trained before your feet move.
5. delay preserves you from carrying success without character
Gift can lift you but only character can keep you there. Saul rose quickly and fell quickly. David waited and ruled long. 1 Samuel 16 to 2 Samuel 5 reveals that delay builds stamina for longevity. God delays because He is thinking in generations not moments.
6. delay aligns heaven earth and time into one agreement
There is a moment when heaven agrees earth responds and time opens. Jesus waited until the fullness of time. Galatians 4 shows that even God submits to timing. Delay is alignment. When time is not ready speed becomes resistance
7. delay deepens intimacy so you learn God not just His acts
When answers delay prayer changes from asking to knowing. Habakkuk waited on the tower not for things but for understanding. Habakkuk 2 reveals that delay trains you to hear God’s voice clearly. God delays because He wants relationship before results.
