When trials intensify so should our prayers

Good day, beautiful people,
I know it’s been a while, but I’m back with a dose of encouragement. Today’s post has been inspired by Mark 10:47-49. I pray that today’s write-up will be a blessing to your soul.
Mark 10:47-49 ~ “When Bartimaeus heard that Jesus of Nazareth was nearby, he began to shout, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” “Be quiet!” many of the people yelled at him. But he only shouted louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” When Jesus heard him, he stopped and said, “Tell him to come here.” So they called the blind man. “Cheer up,” they said. “Come on, he’s calling you!”
When our trials intensify, so should our prayers. In verse 48 of Mark 10, one can note that people told Bartimaeus to be quiet, but this did not deter him or discourage him from reaching out to Jesus. He raised his voice, and his echo grew louder.
Another important thing to note is that during moments of difficulties, we should be of good cheer. We ought to be hopeful and know that God is with us and will never abandon us. God loves His children and is for His children. God wants the best for you, and He has seen the end from the beginning, so learn to trust His sovereignty. In verse 49, we can see that the crowd told Bartimaeus to cheer up because Jesus was calling him. This gives me hope because Jesus is always calling out to us, knocking at the door of our hearts.
Psalm 27:8 ~ “My heart has heard you say, “Come and talk with me.” And my heart responds, “Lord, I am coming.”
Whilst writing this post, I also noticed that it is highly likely that the same group of people that told Bartimaeus to be quiet probably told him to cheer up too. This reminded me of the importance of focusing on Jesus rather than on people. Cultivate the habit of ignoring disheartening/demoralising comments. Instead, focus on who God says you are, and you can find the truth in His Word (the Bible). People will always change their opinions on how they think you should live, act, or behave, and this can be very confusing, which is why it’s pivotal to ask God to show you HIS will for your life.
No matter what you may be going through or the season you find yourself in, just know that you’re deeply loved by God. You can never fall off His radar. I know that being in a season of drought/waiting can be very tough or even frustrating, but always know that all that God does is good and He will never harm you. God will bring about your deliverance. And this may not look like how you want it to look, but GOD IS GOOD.
Stay blessed, hopeful, & encouraged.
