When You Feel Like A Nobody
I am not anyone important to you maybe, but I am:
Wife
Mom
Nana
Friend
Daughter
Sister
and I am loved.
Sometimes…
God takes me and shows me who I really am.
And what I’m not.
I am not:
What I wear.
Where I live.
Who others perceive I am.
My body size.
My accomplishments or position.
My job (or lack thereof).
He reminds me that I am so much more than anyone else can see… except HIM:
Created.
Called.
Forgiven.
Redeemed.
Victorious.
Loved.
Even when I don’t feel like it.
Especially when I don’t feel like it,
He’s there. Reminding me of His presence. Of truth.
“You reveal the path of life to me; in Your presence is abundant joy; in Your right hand are eternal pleasures.” Psalms 16:11
And the world, in all of its beauty cannot compare
to
the
beauty
of
a
life
that
is
reflecting
Him.
So this is my prayer:
That I’ll spend more time in the Word and with Him than I do looking in the mirror.
That others will see Jesus in me.
That the smile I give will be a reflection of a Beautiful Savior.
When you feel like your energy is spent or the world is spinning out of control or you haven’t got a friend in the world that really cares,
SMILE
Because you are somebody, too.
So you can smile.
Give a gift to someone else. It might just make their day.
Reflect on God’s promises and His faithfulness.
Count your blessings.
Then
let
your
beautiful
light
shine.
”We all, with unveiled faces, are looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.” 2 Corinthians 3:18
