Sunday Worship: 10,000 Reasons

Christianity

There are more reasons than we could ever count.

But it starts with one:

Thanking God for WHO HE IS.

And it starts at home.  Between you and God.

True worship comes from within, and an attitude of worship will flow from a grateful heart.

But we’re asked not to harbor it there, but to let it flow into every activity of our day.

And Sundays are set apart to be special.

If you carefully obey my commands I am giving you today, to love the Lord your God and worship Him with all your heart and all your soul,  I will provide rain for your land in the proper time, the autumn and spring rains, and you will harvest your grain, new wine, and oil.  Deuteronomy 11:13-14

The Sabbath Day is supposed to be one where we focus–(or maybe refocus!) on the One who deserves all the praise,

all the glory,

and all the honor.

How have we forgotten this one commandment that says, “I want YOU.”  All of you.  Your thoughts, your time, your attention.

This day is a gift you, know.  A day of resting from all the chaos and confusion.  A chance to rest and get your mind and heart back to what really matters.  WHO really matters.

And there are more than 10,000 Reasons.

Bless the Lord

Spend some alone time with your Heavenly Father today.

And maybe, just maybe you won’t feel so alone in your worship of Him if you go to church.  There is something about gathering with other believers that lifts our spirits and our hearts to heaven.

He longs to hear from you.

“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us hold on to grace. By it, we may serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe, for our God is a consuming fire.”  Hebrews 12:28-29

Happy Sunday!
