My Quiet Time...

Thismorning before breakfast I saw these two little heads reading the Children's Bible together. It was a cold morning, so they were snug under the blankets! It looked so cute, I had to grab the camera! But these were the words that came to my mind. These are the words of the first verse of a song by Ron Hamilton called My Quiet Time .

"Before I start each day

There is a special place

I love to go alone

And seek my Saviour's face

I find wisdom in His Word

To instruct me in His will

And I hear His gentle voice say,

"My child, be still."

For Mums, the early morning isn't always the best time to have some quiet time with God. And sometimes, as mums, there is no such thing as quiet time! But what matters is that God's Word is a priority to us. It is a daily necessity. It is something we need again and again like coffee, food and showers. It gives us strength to face the day, peace in the midst of chaos,  courage to face the challenges, encouragement to lift our spirits and wisdom to know what to do.

Nearly every verse in Psalm 119 is about God's Word.

Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

Psalm 119:127
