When I was in college, I dated a guy who I thought was going to get serious. Since we were having a good time and there was never any negative talk on building a future together, I naturally thought things were good. I sincerely believed that no news meant good news.

Turns out that because we never talked about our relationship, there were silent cracks that were slowly forming beneath the surface. It wasn’t under our relationship completely shattered that I realized that we were struggling… and had been for a very long time.
