Preach the Gospel to the World Around You - Raising Generation Zion

“I have so many friends who do not know Jesus. What do I preach to them? How can I get the strength to tell them about the Saviour’s love for us?”

Paul writes that he preaches the gospel. His preaching is on the cross of Christ (1 Corinthians1:17,18). In 1 Corinthians 2:2, he reiterates he preaches Christ crucified. To Timothy, he writes to preach the Word (2 Timothy 4:2).

There is nothing as unique as the cross of Christ. Nothing else has and can deliver man like the blood of Christ. The cross of Christ has taken away our sins, sickness, and fear of death. We receive freedom through the blood of Jesus.

Remember, our preaching needs to be under the demonstration of God’s Spirit and power. Not a showcase of earthly intellectual talent.

Who can preach the gospel?

The humble. The humble get strength and power from God to preach Christ. Yet some preach to make money and personal gain (Philippians 3:7-21). These are enemies of the cross of Christ. They get their strength from the devil, not God.

To learn more on this topic, meditate on these two portions of scripture where Peter and Paul preach the gospel. (Acts 2:21-47) (1 Corinthians 15:1-31)

Learn from Jesus as you love Him more each day

As believers who have received such mercies, let’s dig deeper into our relationship with Jesus. When we love Him more, we learn more about Him. The more we know Him, the more we can tell others about His love.

Love gives us clarity and strength. When we love God, He makes Himself known to us. His thoughts, how He feels about us, and what He has said and done are all clear to those who love Him. When do we struggle to preach about any topic? When we lack clarity about the subject matter.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.
