How to put Jesus in the center of your life

Do you ever wonder how you can bring Jesus into your everyday life?

Putting Jesus in the center of your life means making Him the most important person and guiding force in everything you do.

It is like having a compass that points you in the right direction.

In this article, we’ll explore some simple steps you can take to invite Jesus into your life and experience His love, guidance, and peace every day.

Read the Bible

Reading the Bible helps you learn about Jesus and his teachings. The Bible tells us how much God loves us and how we can love Him back.

The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John are four books in the Bible that tell us about Jesus’ life and teachings.

These books help us understand how Jesus lived, what He taught, and how He wants us to live.

Reading the Bible teaches us about God’s love for us and how we can have a closer relationship with Jesus.

It is like getting to know a good friend. The more time we spend with Jesus through reading the Bible, the closer we become to Him, and the more we understand His love for us.

Pray

Praying allows you to communicate with God and develop a closer relationship with Him.

When you pray, you can tell God about your hopes, fears, and struggles. You can also ask for His help and guidance in your life.

Prayer can help you feel connected to God and give you peace and comfort.

It can also help you develop a thankful and humble attitude towards life. When you thank God for your blessings, it reminds you of His goodness and generosity.

Attending church allows you to learn more about Jesus and connect with other Christians.

When you go to church, you can participate in activities like Sunday school or youth group, which can help you deepen your understanding of Jesus’ teachings and how they apply to your life.

Being around other Christians at church can also help you build a supportive community and develop strong relationships with people who share your faith.

You can share your struggles, pray for each other, and encourage others to follow Jesus.

Furthermore, going to church is a way to worship God and show gratitude for all the blessings in your life.

You can sing hymns, listen to sermons, and participate in communion or other sacraments that help you grow closer to Jesus and feel his presence in your life.

Serve others

Serving others taught us to love our neighbors as ourselves. We show love and kindness to those around us, just as Jesus did.

When we help others, we also follow Jesus’ example of humility and service

Jesus showed us that true greatness comes from serving others and putting their needs before ours.

By helping others, we live out Jesus’ teachings and become more like Him.

Serving others can also bring us closer to Jesus by helping us to see the world through His eyes.

When we help those in need, we are reminded of the importance of compassion, generosity, and selflessness.

We can learn to appreciate the blessings in our own lives and develop a greater sense of gratitude.

Share your faith

Sharing your faith helps you grow closer to Him and spread His love to others.

When you share your faith, you tell others about Jesus and how He has positively impacted your life

It can inspire and encourage them to seek a relationship with Jesus too. By sharing your story, you can show others the joy and peace of having Jesus in your life.

Furthermore, sharing your faith is an act of obedience to Jesus’ commandment to go and make disciples of all nations.

It is like being a messenger for Jesus, spreading His teachings and love to those around you.

Sharing your faith also strengthens your belief in Jesus. This reinforces your understanding of His teachings and helps you grow in your relationship with Him.

It is like a way of reminding yourself of the importance of Jesus in your life.

Additionally, sharing your faith allows you to connect with other believers and build a support community.

It will enable you to meet fellow Christians who can encourage and guide you on your spiritual journey.

Embrace love, kindness

Embracing love and kindness reflects the kind of life that Jesus lived and taught us to live.

Jesus showed us how to love and be kind to everyone, even those different from us.

He treated everyone with respect and compassion, no matter who they were or what they had done.

Following his example, we live out his teachings and spread his love message to others.

Also, it helps us build stronger relationships with those around us.

It creates a sense of community and connection that is important for our mental and emotional well-being.

Most importantly, embracing love and kindness helps us live a pleasing life to God.

Jesus taught us that the two greatest commandments are loving God and loving our neighbor.

Showing love and kindness to others means living out these commandments and living a pleasing life to God.

Seek wisdom

Jesus is known as the wisest teacher who ever lived. Seeking wisdom means aiming to learn more about Jesus and His teachings.

It can help us understand how to live a life that pleases God and brings us closer to Him.

Wisdom can come from many sources, such as reading books, listening to sermons, and learning from others who follow Jesus.

By seeking knowledge, we can better understand God’s truth and how to apply it to our daily lives.

It supports us to make wise decisions, treat others with kindness and compassion, and grow in our faith.

Jesus himself sought wisdom when he was on earth. He studied the scriptures, listened to teachers, and asked questions.

Follow Jesus’ examples

Jesus showed us how to love others, serve those in need, and live a life that honors God.

Following His example teaches us how to be kind, compassionate, and selfless.

By following Jesus’ example, we can also experience the joy and peace of living a life centered around Him.

Jesus’ teachings help us navigate the challenges of life, and His example gives us a clear picture of what it means to live a life that is pleasing to God.

Also, it helps us build better relationships with others.

When we love and serve others, we positively impact the world around us. We become more empathetic, patient, and understanding and learn to treat others with kindness and respect.

Practice forgiveness

Jesus taught us to forgive others, just as God forgives us. Forgiving someone shows love and kindness and lets go of any anger or bitterness you may be feeling.

Forgiveness can also bring healing to relationships that disagreements or conflicts have hurt.

When you forgive someone, you can work together to solve problems and move forward positively.

However, forgiveness can be difficult, especially when someone has hurt you deeply.

Because of this, it is important to remember that forgiveness is not about forgetting what happened or pretending it didn’t hurt.

It’s about letting go of your anger and treating the other person with kindness and respect.

Jesus is our perfect example of forgiveness. He forgave those who persecuted Him and even prayed for them.

By practicing forgiveness, we become more like Jesus and experience the peace and joy of following Him.
