I never knew there was anything like Christian Fiction Novels until I visited my big sister at school. That was about five years ago.

I went to her lodge and saw a copy of β€˜Redeeming Love’ sitting on the shelf.

I got curious, picked it up and it changed everything I knew about Christian Fiction.

And my life too. Ah, it changed my life.

Saying I loved it so much is only because I couldn’t find better words.

I’ve read it about 6 or 7 times since I first read it.

That book ehn, I read the book, I cried, I saw the movie, I started crying afresh.

    What?!

It made me realize Christian Fiction Novels were not boring and they are packed with lessons.

I moved on to reading other books by Francine Rivers like Mark of the Lion Trilogy, The Masterpiece, The Atonement Child, The Scarlet Thread, The Last Sin Eater, Her Mother’s Hope, Her Daughter’s Dream, etc.

Then I moved on to Frank Peretti. My all-time favorite of Frank Peretti is β€˜This Present Darkness’ and β€˜Piercing the Darkness.’
Those books by Frank made me realize that Nigeria doesn’t even have witchcraft compared to what Frank revealed in his book as the Spiritual darkness in the States.

    The illustration was so real.

The more I read. The more I cried. The more I prayed. The more I wondered.

The normal prayer point in Nigeria is for food, good health, provision and protection, and more money.

When people say they pray more when they leave Nigeria for the white man’s land because the practices there cannot be compared to the ones in Nigeria, I don’t understand it.

Not until I encountered Frank Peretti.

Other Christian Fiction novels are more casual, and portray Christian Relationships and what goes on in the minds of adults. Those books made me laugh a lot and of course, lessons were learned.

This is me saying that Christian Fiction Novels are not boring in any way.
In my leisure, I settle for Christian Fiction, if I’m not taking a walk or seeing a movie.

It makes me relax and teaches me.

So that’s killing two birds with a stone.

    Who wouldn’t like that?

This is me telling you to read a Christian Fiction Novel today.

You don’t mind a recommendation? Please start with Redeeming Love. I’ve seen both the book and the movie and they had the same effect on me.

Right now, I’m currently reading Francine Rivers’ Mark of the Lion Trilogy for the third time this year.

Are you reading any Christian Fiction right now?

When God Throws a Little Bit of β€œAll Things” in Your Life

I love Romans 8:28. Now, let me be honest…sometimes I don’t. When I am going through a dark time of loss or disappointment, and someone throws a sloppy coat of Romans 8:28 on my open wound, I just want to scream. There. I said it. Paul wrote: β€œAnd we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, Read more...

What does it mean to have childlike faith?

What do you think of when you hear the word β€œchildlike?”For many of us, β€œchildlike” might bring to mind something immature, foolish, or naive. Yet when Jesus talked about childlike faith, he wasn’t asking us to be any of these things. He was inviting us into something pure, trusting, and real. This week, I got to help lead worship at a kids' camp. Watching the kids worship was such a beautiful reminder of what childlike faith truly looks like. These kids worshiped, prayed, and talked about God.
