One thing I’ve come to understand as I grow is that life isn’t a race. I’m not on the same pace with anyone, unless I choose to put myself there.

I’ve realized that I’m not in competition with others unless I intentionally let myself be. And trust me, it’s so easy to fall into that trap, scrolling through social media, comparing milestones, or even unintentionally measuring your progress against others.

But here’s the truth: You always have a choice.

Whether you think so or not, there’s always a choice to make.

For me, the choice is clear: I choose to focus on what God has placed in front of me.

It doesn’t matter if it’s something big or small.
It doesn’t matter if it puts me in the spotlight or keeps me behind the scenes.
It doesn’t even matter if it makes me the center of attention or leaves me walking alone.

I’ve learned to pursue what is in front of me with trust and contentment, while striving to grow within the sphere God has placed me.

Allow Yourself to Grow at Your Pace

I give myself room to grow, to learn, and to get betterβ€”but always at my own pace.

Of course, there are people out there with better ideas, more advanced skills, and seemingly faster progress. That’s the reality of life. But instead of dwelling on those thoughts, I remind myself that the people I admire are also trying, just as I am. And many of them are probably working even harder than I realize.

On the flip side, there might be people who look at me and think I’ve got it all figured out. Maybe they feel like I’m doing better than them. But here’s the thing:

Who gets to decide who’s doing better? By what standard are we judging?

The truth is, we’re all running different races on different tracks. It’s not about being ahead or behind. It’s about staying faithful to your unique journey.

    Finding True Peace

The Bible talks about the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). It’s not some far-fetched concept; it’s real and accessible. But peace doesn’t come from competing or comparing.

Peace comes when you stay in your lane and trust God with your journey.

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed or discouraged, let me remind you today: You are doing your best.

Even when life feels like it’s shoving and pushing, telling you that you’re behind and time isn’t on your side, hold on to the truth.

God’s timing is never late, and His plans for you are good.

Practical Steps for Peace of Mind

If you’re struggling to find peace in a world that constantly pressures you to do more and be more, here are a few steps that have helped me:

    1. Practice Gratitude: Write down three things you’re grateful for every day. It shifts your focus from what’s missing to what’s present. And this is so important.

    2. Limit Social Media: Take intentional breaks. The constant highlight reels can distort your perspective.

    3. Pray and Reflect: Spend time with God. Ask Him to show you what matters most in this season.

    4. Set Personal Goals: Focus on what you want to achieve, not what others expect of you.

    5. Celebrate Small Wins: Progress is progress, no matter how small.

    Dear You,
You’re not late. You’re not behind. You’re exactly where you need to be.

Take a deep breath and remind yourself that God is working all things together for your good. Trust His process. Embrace your journey. And remember, peace is yours to claim, it starts with staying in your lane.

    You’ve got this.
