25 People Accept Jesus In Church They Had Tried to Prevent Being Built

Twenty-five people have accepted Jesus into their lives at a Gospel meeting we conducted in the church at Indra Colony, India. This church was built among the Hindus and poor people where there is no proper road facility and other means of easy travel. It is God who has led and guided us to build the church to preach the Holy Gospel and save souls in Christ.

When we started to build this church the people who live around did not want it to be allowed and fought to not let us build the church. And they gave complaints to people in higher authority. The authorities came and saw the church location and told us not to build.

So we prayed to God for three months and approached the district collector who is in charge of the entire district. And he gave us permission to build the church. It took more than two years to build it among the poor people and Hindus. With much difficulty we built the church and dedicated it. It is God who has done many miracles to send Hindus to this church.

It is God who has led and guided us to build the church to preach the Holy Gospel and save souls in Christ.

So twenty-five Hindu people accepted Jesus into their lives and are very happy to accept Jesus into their lives. He has done great things in their lives and many of them have left idol worship and Hindu traditional worship. As for the people who had been sick and faced several problems, God did great things in their lives. So with faith they accepted Jesus and are very happy in Christ Jesus. As one person said,

It is God who has led and guided the church to be built in my locality. We were born Hindu and did not know about Jesus. We first opposed the building of the church. Why? Because we had been worshipping idol gods and were too attached to the idol gods. It is the Holy Gospel and word of God which changed our lives and we accepted Jesus into our lives. We are all so happy in Christ Jesus. Please pray for us. We pray for you all in Christ Jesus.

Unlimited: Called To Belong To Jesus | Good News Unlimited

The calling which we have all received is the calling to belong to Jesus Christ. The idea behind the language of “belonging” goes back to how he introduces himself in verse 1, as a “slave of Christ Jesus.” If you think about it, the idea of a person actually belonging to someone else is very foreign and shocking to us. However, in ancient Rome, where the recipients of this letter lived, one in every three people were owned by someone else. Across the whole of the Roman empire, the proportion of slaves may have been around one in every five people. So the idea of belonging to someone else in a literal was a very common notion back then.

Unlimited: Where Obedience Comes From | Good News Unlimited

Many people have wrong ideas of where obedience comes from. I used to be one of those people. I thought that obedience came from being more disciplined in doing the right things. I t’s like saying that obedience comes from obedience, which doesn’t make sense. Indeed, I discovered that the more I focused on doing fewer wrong things and more right things, the less obedient I became. It was a strange situation to be in. Now I know it’s not uncommon.
