A bitter heart

    Good day beautiful people,

I pray that the peace of God which surpasses all human understanding will flood your heart. May you experience a sincere joy and may the Lord renew your hope in Jesus name.

Today’s post has been inspired by Psalm 73:21. My desire is for you to be encouraged as you read.

For context do read Psalm 73 when you get the chance. It just happens to be one of my favourite chapters in the Bible 😅. But I will share some snippets in this post.

Psalm 73:13-14 ~ “Did I keep my heart pure for nothing? Did I keep myself innocent for no reason? I get nothing but trouble all day long; every morning brings me pain.”

Psalm 73:21 ~ “Then I realized that my heart was bitter, and I was all torn up inside.”

Being bitter actually consumes energy, it is counterproductive to growth and can hold one in bondage setting them back in life as they continually dwell on the past or an unpleasant occurrence. A persons mind ends up flooded with negativity and one is left lacking peace. Don’t expend your energy on holding grudges against others instead channel that energy into doing something useful and allow the Holy Spirit to work in you and to heal your heart.

It is especially important to note that we should not allow our hearts to grow bitter towards God. This is because we end up blinding ourselves from seeing all the wonderful blessings which God places around us.

Learn to focus on God’s love, mercy, compassion and greatness. Don’t take your eyes of Him, God is bigger than your problems. And never compare yourself with others as comparison is a thief of joy.

Galatians 6:4 ~ Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else.

    Stay hopefully.

Christian Lady After God’s Own Heart 💜

Simply a young woman striving to encourage women of God, whilst trying to spread the gospel to a mass majority of ladies all over the world. I am an armature with regards to blogs, but with more time and by God’s grace I shall improve lol. I want every single female on earth to know how much she is loved by God (John 3:16)! Please feel free to contact me via email for encouragement, advise or prayer (I am not a qualified counsellor, or a pastor, but I believe as a young woman I will be able to relate with SOME of the things other women around the world are going through). <<< As of Feb 2019 I completed my Counselling level 3 diploma Praise God 💃🏾. I intend to help others not in my own strength, but with the help of the Holy Spirit.

An Inspired Challenge for Wives This Father's Day - Today Can Be Different

Consider asking your husband how you can pray for him each day. (If the father of your children doesn’t live with you, for whatever reason, remember to put him on your prayer list too.) Your husband wants nothing more than to succeed, but he probably struggles with issues he’s afraid to admit, even to himself. He may feel insecure about being a dad, especially if he didn’t have the benefit of a good role model. Or maybe he feels more like an understudy because he’s “only” a stepdad.
