A Word from the Word

Genesis 9:13

I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth.

Every time I see a rainbow I am reminded of the covenant the God made with us. Throughout the Bible there are covenant reminders: altar stones, piles of rocks, remains of places. Have you provided covenant reminders for yourself in your own life? The covenant, which you made between you and your God?

These covenant reminders help bring back those significant times in our lives when we have encountered God. They remind us of His hand in our lives. Examples of this could be: a cross with the date of your baptism, a photo from a special retreat, a framed favorite verse from scripture. We need to mirror God and display our covenant with Him.
