Adventus - A Nighttime Prayer

"Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a cold, the foal of a donkey." -- Zechariah 9:9 (NIV)

Please Pray:

Father in Heaven, we bow before you in praise and worship for sending Your Son Jesus as a humble baby in a manger for our salvation. It was the most important “arrival” the world has ever had. As we celebrate the joys of family, friendship, holiday meals, and gifts—help us remember Christ’s other advent, the declaration of His Kingship. Open our eyes to see others around us who need to hear about His birth, death and resurrection, and to help those in material need of food, clothing, and shelter all year round. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
