Anxiety Day 21…
An excerpt from the book
A 30 day approach to your anxiety and depression
You are in the middle of this storm.
You’re getting knocked about from all sides and it seems it can’t get any worse.
In the middle of all this, think of Jesus. How did He handle His problems, His storms? Can you take on His character and endure as He did? Jesus provides a model for dealing with problems and pain, for living and dying.
I understand your situation is different, the times are different.
But if you can adopt Jesus’ character, dignity, fortitude, and perseverance, you too can have victory over your situation.
Here is the key to being like Jesus.
You have the guarantee that all you are enduring will lead to victory. Yes, we all win in the end.
Like Jesus, we as His followers are going to rise again. No matter what happens to us in this life; no matter what torment. We have victory; we will be resurrected into the glory of God’s heaven.
Jesus knew this and was able to accept and endure His hardships because He knew it was for the good. You too can stand on the promise of resurrection. When you are in the midst of your troubles remember Jesus and mold your life to His.
-
Jesus was tempted. Read about His time in the wilderness. How did He handle temptation. ( Matthew 4:1-11)
-
Jesus experienced despair. Look how He handle it in the garden the night before His arrest.
( Mark 14:32-42 )
-
Jesus endured pain. Read about His experiences and His response to the pain. ( Mark 15, Luke 23, Matthew 27 and John 19 )
-
Look at the suffering you are going through and remember Jesus.
