Exodus 31 vs 1-5

And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, 2 See, I have called by name Bezaleel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: 3 And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, 4 To devise cunning works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, 5 And in cutting of stones, to set them, and in carving of timber, to work in all manner of workmanship.

Exodus 31:3-8 KJV - And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship,

  1. Moses was doing construction work for God, and God himself was looking for a workman for Moses.
  2. God looks for someone filled with wisdom, knowledge and understanding.
  3. The same Bible says that a man who is diligent in his skill will stand before the Kings.
  4. You shall be the best in your vocation, occupation, and profession.
  5. God did not look for the second best. He looked for a talented and skilful person.
  6. Be the best. Improve your skill, education, or certification.
  7. Everyone needs the best people. God himself chose the best.
  8. Be filled with God’s wisdom, knowledge and understanding in Jesus’ name.
  9. You shall not be an ordinary person, and you shall be the best in your career in Jesus’ name. Amen

Sehnsucht is hard to put into words, as can be seen in my painfully limited ability to describe what I felt at a vista in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Some call it joy. Some called it wistful longing for something you can’t explain. It has been called melancholy and nostalgia. It is all of that, and mo
