Bearing fruit: John 15:5 and the connection to the true vine


Ever heard about this verse? Jesus is talking to his buddies and says something extraordinary: "I am the vine, and you are the branches. If you stick with me, you will do great things. But without me, not so much." Got it? There is more to it than meets the eye.

Bearing fruit in Christ

Jesus means the good things that happen when we stick with him. It is like having a solid tree with lots of yummy fruit – that's us when we are connected to Jesus.

So, how do we do this fruit-bearing thing? Simple. We hang out with Jesus. Pray, read the Bible, and spend time with him – that is how we stay connected, and that is when the good stuff starts happening in our lives.

Meet the True Vine: Jesus

Now, let us talk about the "true vine" – Jesus. He is not just any vine; he is the real deal. When we are friends with Jesus it is like having a super reliable connection. He is the one who helps us grow and gives us everything we need.

How do we make our connection with the true vine stronger? Easy. Spend time with Jesus. Pray, read the Bible, and hang out with friends who follow him. That's how we make sure our connection is rock solid.

So, remember John 15:5. When we stick with Jesus, amazing things happen. Our lives change, and we see the excellent fruit popping up. Let's keep connected to the true vine and watch the awesome things that will grow in our lives.
