The clarion call today is that every Christian should carry out a spiritual check of your homes, offices, environment and locations.

5:21 Dear children, guard yourselves from idols.

There are various subtle ways the enemy penetrates the lives of Christians for evil. One of these ways is through satanic objects and materials which the devil may use as a foothold to operate in our lives. The Bible extols us to be as wise as snakes.

Is there any object or material in your environment that does not glorify God? Then you may be ignorantly inviting the enemy into your life. And don’t forget that its mission is to steal, to kill and to destroy. Therefore you must make every conscious move to resist him.

Carry out a spiritual check of your personal life style, residence and office.

What type of necklace, rings, bangles and belts do you wear? Are there strange symbols on them?

Are you the kind of person that like gathering cultural and traditional artifacts? The, you are gathering trouble into your life. Check the carvings, ornaments, paintings, and decorations in your offices and homes. What types of images and symbols are drawn on them? Do you notice any occultic or fetish drawings? Then you better gather all these materials and destroy them with fire.

What kind of movies and films do you watch? Be careful of action and adventure films as most of them have idolatry scenes. Study the images on pack of these films, if there are any traces of evil symbols, you better get rid of them.

The list is endless. You have to analyze all your materials one by one and determine the ones you need to get rid of.

Pray that the Holy Spirit opens your eyes of understanding as your embark on this spiritual check up.
