Mark 10 vs. 46
And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging. 47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out.
Bartimaeus was blind but he was a visionary.
Vision entails strategically planning for the future. Vision is setting out and achieving one’s objectives. Vision is not leaving everything to chance and luck, but taking steps to positively shape one’s destiny.Bartimeaus knew Jesus was coming to town and planned ahead to receive a miracle through him.
If he did not plan ahead he would have missed the miracle. I assumed that Bartimaues must had planned where to seat, what to say, how to react to the crowd, and what to request where eventually called upon by Jesus.
The miracle of Blind Bartimaeus reveals careful planning and execution of an action. In our individual lives we should devise a Plan to implement our visions.
Do you have a vision for your career or business? Think of one now, God has given you a brain and it is meant for strategic thinking and planning. Do you have a plan on how to achieve your objectives? Sit down and write out one now, as lack of plans leads to failures…
