Bible: What is first fruit?

Bible: What is first fruit?

Posted on July 4, 2013 Updated on July 2, 2013

Ezekiel 44 vs. 30

And the first of all the firstfruits of all things, and every oblation of all, of every sort of your oblations, shall be the priest’s: ye shall also give unto the priest the first of your dough, that he may cause the blessing to rest in thine house.

  1. In this passage, God describes it as the “First of first fruits”
  2. This can be interpreted to mean the first portion of your first profits, or the best of your first salary
  3. Nowhere in the Bible has God demanded for the first year salary or first salary of your new job, or first profits of your new business as your first fruit
  4. Give cheerfully as led by God.
