I LOVE making lists!! I love the false illusion that I have my life together for about 10 minutes before I lose said list. I love adding things to the list that I’ve already completed so I can mark them off. I love color coding and writing on cute paper. I just love lists. I also just saw you rolling your eyes at me. It’s fine. It’s really fine. I’m a hot mess with a list... somewhere.

Yesterday, like most Sundays I began making my usual list. We have a very busy week ahead with five ballgames, church and family in town. Then straight into youth camp followed by selling fireworks. So you can imagine this was quite the list. But between every ‘to-do’ I felt my spirit saying “Jesus first or none of this works”. I ignored it for a while because it felt too ‘Dr Suess.’ But after multiple urges I finally wrote it at the top of the list: Jesus first or the best laid out plans mean nothing. Jesus first or chaos is inevitable. Jesus first or peace will be nonexistent. Jesus first or what’s even the point?

So today I encourage you... no, I urge you... actually I implore you... to stop whatever you are doing and seek Him FIRST!
