Verily, verily I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber” John 10:1

Various religions in the world acknowledge the fact that there is a sovereign God, but only Christianity acknowledges the sonship, messiahship, and Lordship of Jesus Christ.

One common error among most people is to group together all religions that believe in the existence of a Sovereign God regardless of whether or not they believe in the name of Jesus Christ.

It is common to hear people say there is no difference between Islam and Christianity because both religions believe in a Sovereign God-Allah for the former and Jehovah for the latter.

It is also common for people to practice two religions together at the same time. For instance you find a Christian also practicing some form of traditional religions. It must be clearly understood that all this belief and practice is a spirit of error.

That two religions believe in the same God does not make them the same. From primordial times, our ancestors have believed in a Sovereign God.

The Bible says that Satan, who is a fallen angel of God, still believes in the sovereignty of God, and even still has access to the presence of God, and takes His permission before implementing any evil.

Therefore the mere fact that a religion acknowledges the sovereignty of God does not make that religion godly. One of the lies of the devil is to mask Satanism as godliness, and evil as good.

We find a situation where many religious orders that patently indulge in Satan worship still acknowledge the existence of a sovereign God. Such religions include Mormonism, the Grail message, and Ekanckar to name a few. Unfortunately most Christian fall into this trap.

On one hand they claim to believe that Jesus is Lord, on the other hand they adhere to other religions, and do not find anything wrong in this because the other religions acknowledge the existence of a Sovereign God.

The Bible warns against this practice. In the introductory passage quoted above Jesus says anyone who does not come by the only gate that goes to heaven and tries to enter through a false gate are both a thief and a robber.

Are you one of the thieves and robbers Jesus referred to in the passage above? The litmus test to conduct in determining whether you a thief or a robber is to consider what you believe in.

1 John 4:1-3 gives a guideline in conducting this test:

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone into the world. Hereby know ye the spirit of God:

Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of anti-Christ, whereof ye have heard that it should come: and even now is it the world

In you is one of the people practicing adulterated religion, and admixture of Christianity and paganism, now is the time to repent from your thievery and robbery. There is only one highway to heaven and that way is Jesus Christ.

If you are wallowing in the false belief that another name can take you to heaven, you will be treated as a thief and robber when your soul arrive the gate of Heaven. And the destination of thieves and robbers is hell. Decide your eternal destination today!

Do you want to be sure you are not a thief or robber? Then say this simple prayer:

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ. I acknowledge that I am a sinner and have fallen short of your glory. I genuinely repent from all my sins and pledge to go and sin no more. I accept your plan to reconcile mankind to you through Jesus Christ, who you sent in your name.

I believe Jesus Christ is the Messiah, that died on the Cross to pay the penalty for my sins and redeem me. I accept Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I pray that His blood washes my sins away.

I invite the Holy Spirit to rule my Life. I renounce beliefs in all other religion I have ever practices or names I Have believed in. I Believe and declare that Jesus is the Lord. I am born again in Jesus name.
