Come to the Mountains and Rest

“He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a secluded place and rest a while.” For there were so many people coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat.”
Mark 6:31

Rest is a critical part of the Christian life, especially with the crash and burn pace of life we often run at. Mix in the stress and trauma from the crazy we’re immersed in, and the soul cries out for restoration.

We are offering you three retreats in the mountains of Colorado that will be a great time for rest, healing, equipping, community, and prayer:

Men’s retreat: June 20-23, 2024

Wives retreat: June 27-30, 2024

Couples retreat: September 12-15, 2024
https://www.blazinggrace.org/couples-retreat/

These retreats are held at a Christian Retreat center in the mountains of Beulah, Colorado. Beulah is a small mountain community with a population of around 1,200 and an elevation of 6,300. The retreat is nestled in the mountains, surrounded by walking trails, near a creek, and is a perfect place to get away to focus on restoring your heart. The main facility has eight rooms, each with two twin beds, so you won’t feel overwhelmed by a large group. There are no TVs in the rooms.

Our mountain retreats begin with dinner Thursday night and finish late Sunday morning. The room for 3 nights and all meals are included in the rate. See the pages on each retreat by clicking on the links above for the topics covered and more information. I will be facilitating the retreats; Sandy England will join me for the Wife’s Heart Retreat and the Couples Retreat. There is a registration form and questionnaire on the retreat pages that would need to be filled out.

Please contact us with any questions, or if you’d like to start the process of getting signed up.

Scholarships

In today’s economy, money is tight for many. If you’re interested in sponsoring a partial or full scholarship for someone who would like to come to a retreat and needs financial help, please contact us.

    The Mall or the Manger?

Much has changed since the God of the universe decorated the night sky with the star of Bethlehem and directed the choir of angels in a chorus announcing the birth of Our Savior, Jesus Christ. But the commercialism doesn’t have to rule in our hearts and homes. This year let’s focus on the Christ Child and remember the true meaning of the holiday season. As we turn our eyes to the Babe in the manger, we will not view Christmas as a dreaded obligation or a major retail event. It will be a time of joyous celebration, honoring the One Who came to give us eternal life and worshipping our Heavenly Father.
