It has been quite a year for family-friendly comedian Nate Bargatze. In addition to selling out arenas from coast to coast with his homespun brand of comedy and announcing his plans to open a theme park in the Nashville area, the Tennessee native will soon be adding actor to his resume.

Bargatze will debut in his first feature film in March 2026 in The Breadwinner, a family comedy following the misadventures of a middle-class dad named Nate while his wife is on an extended business trip. Also starring Mandy Moore (A Walk to Remember), Colin Jost (Saturday Night Live), and Zach Cherry (Severance), the screenplay was penned by Bargatze and Dan Laguna.

The first trailer for the new movie made its debut earlier today and is generating buzz across the Internet. Take a look:

The Breadwinner opens March 13, 2026 in theaters nationwide.
