Crushing It? — GRITANDFAVOR.COM
Hard-pressed on every side… but not crushed. Troubled, afflicted, pressured but absolutely not crushed.

I’ve often used the word “crushed” to describe my feelings after a heavy blow. It gives a visual to the way my heart feels after a situation left me broken. By definition, it means feeling “overwhelmingly disappointed.” And as much as we hate to admit it, sometimes the holidays can be just that: overwhelmingly disappointing.

But dear friend… stop giving that much weight to your circumstances. God is good. And He is good to you. Even when you don’t see it. Even when you don’t feel it. Even when it seems unending. WHAT IS HAPPENING TO YOU OR AROUND YOU WILL NEVER SURPASS THAT WHICH IS HAPPENING IN YOU. With each blow. God is building you up. With each attack. He is making you strong. With each disappointment, He is holding your hand. With each heartache, He is singing over you. Don’t let this pressure be the final straw. You are capable and able through Christ. You are strong because He is strong in you. Find your fight! Don’t walk around defeated.

Joy comes in the morning. And morning comes faster when we rest. At least that’s what we tell our kids about Christmas Day. So find your place in the corner of the sofa, pipe in the worship music and rest in knowing that whatever comes your way is a productive part of your story. Don’t let the process crush you.

“Though we experience every kind of pressure, we’re not crushed. At times we don’t know what to do, but quitting is not an option. We are persecuted by others, but God has not forsaken us. We may be knocked down, but not out.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9 TPT
