DELISTED?

DELISTED?

Memorise: “And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book” (Exodus 32:33)

Read: Revelation 20:11-15

blotted-8-728“On that night could not the king sleep, and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king” (Esther 6:1).

The story of Mordecai is an interesting one with several lessons for us today. The first thing that comes to mind is that every organized kingdom keeps records. Just as king Ahasuerus kept records of events, so does the King of kings. Heaven has lots of books out of which are some registers for human beings. Revelation 20:11-15 tells us of two sets of books – the book of life and the books of death. Everyone that is born into this world has his or her name in one of the books.

Wherever your name falls is where all your deeds will be recorded. Everyone who is born again and is still living right until time of death can be assured that his or her name is in the book of life. The moment you are washed in the blood of Jesus and become a new creature in Christ, your name enters the Lamb’s book of life (Revelation 21:27).

It takes your daily living to please Him to sustain your name there. If you return to sin, God has no choice but to erase the name of that fellow from this book. Also, what will happen to anyone and where the fellow will spend eternity will be determined by which book the fellow’s name is. Every sinner’s name is in one of the books of death, hence, they will be doomed in eternal hell.

“And the Lord said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book” (Exodus 32:33). Even from the time of Moses, it was common knowledge that God had a book where all righteous souls are listed. Are you born again? If yes, congratulations! It is not enough to have your name in the most important book in the universe. Keeping it there is the challenge.

Satan is out to delist your name from that book. That colleague that is mounting pressure on you to compromise with sin, is actually Satan’s vehicle to delist you. Some powerful names have been delisted from that book. Judas Iscariot and Demas once had their names in that book but were delisted. It is only when your name is there, that you will be entitled to your portion from God’s Kingdom. Do everything in your power to retain your name in this glorious book. Has your name been delisted? Re-enrol today!

Father, frustrate every known or unknown move of the enemy to delist my name from the Lamb’s Book of Life. Lord, fill this year’s Convention with your presence, power, and miracles. Grant us journey mercies during the Convention.
