Do you want to be the greatest? - Raising GENERATION Zion

A common discussion among youth is about who will be the greatest in the kingdom of God. Is it a new thing? No.

The disciples discussed the same while hanging around with Jesus. Jesus responded be like a child. (Matthew 18:1-3)

A mom came with her sons to Jesus, desiring they get a special place in the kingdom of God. Jesus answered that only the Father decides.

Miriam questioned God and raked up unrest by asking will God only speak through Moses. She felt jealous of her younger brother having such access to God.

Peter was jealous of how close John was to Jesus. But we now know why? John was kept for the day to reveal the Book of Revelation.

Jesus is the greatest in the kingdom of God.

Be careful of such discussions that can stir up hate or jealousy between brothers and sisters. The thought of who the greatest will be is a product of a carnal, unsanctified heart.

You will be as close to Jesus in the kingdom of God as close you are to Him now in this life.

Jesus reminds us to live one day at a time. Stay rooted in the doctrines and teachings led by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus’ response to becoming like a child is profound and deep. Being a child is not easy the older you grow. The older I grow, the better I understand. Jesus says, be children in malice. The older you grow, the harder it gets for the mind and heart to process negativity. We often believe in staying positive. But reliable positivity is found only in the presence of God. HE helps you heal and move on in love.

Build a deeper prayer life. Delight in the word of God. Love everyone, speaking the truth always. Everything else will fall in place when we walk in obedience.

Maranatha, Praise God, and Amen.

An Inspired Challenge for Wives This Father's Day - Today Can Be Different

Consider asking your husband how you can pray for him each day. (If the father of your children doesn’t live with you, for whatever reason, remember to put him on your prayer list too.) Your husband wants nothing more than to succeed, but he probably struggles with issues he’s afraid to admit, even to himself. He may feel insecure about being a dad, especially if he didn’t have the benefit of a good role model. Or maybe he feels more like an understudy because he’s “only” a stepdad.
