Encouragement for the Journey

"Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!"
– Psalm 31:24
Life can bring seasons that test our strength, courage, and our faith. Even in those times if we hold on and not faint we find hope to endure.
As a single mother, the weight of responsibility as the head of household can feel overwhelming and sometimes unbearable at times yet the love we have for our children will cause us to face any obstacle, challenge or problem with grace.
For anyone healing after divorce is like a death, the pain of loss and starting over can feel like walking through fire.
And for the woman navigating the changes of menopause, the shifting of body and emotions can stir uncertainty.
Yet in each of these seasons, God’s Word reminds us: “Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the Lord!” Waiting on the Lord is not passive—it is an active faith, leaning into His presence, and trusting that He is working even when we cannot see the outcome.
As a single mother, God promises to be the Father to your children and your constant source of provision.
As someone healing after divorce, He binds up the brokenhearted and brings beauty from ashes.
As you walk through the physical and emotional shifts of menopause, He remains steady when everything within feels unsettled.
The strength and courage we need are not found in ourselves but in Him. When your heart feels weak, when tears come easily, when doubt whispers—cling to His promises. You are not forgotten, and you are not walking this road alone.

Questions for Reflection:
1. In what areas of my life right now do I need to be reminded to “take courage”?
2. How have I seen God provide strength in past seasons of difficulty?
3. What does “waiting on the Lord” look like in my current season?
4. How can I remind myself daily that my strength is not in me, but in Him?
