Faith is an exercise just like cardio.

It doesn’t feel good to pedal a bike or sprint to the finish line. But it is good to get up and move our bodies.

We sometimes believe faith is just a feeling. Like simply the act of believing is enough. While believing is enough to be saved, living a life full of faith requires action.
For example: I believe God is able, so I should see him being able. That’s not always the case.
Reality: I believe God is able. I choose to endure the suffering that is required to see His miraculous work. You don’t get to experience the Jesus who walks on water if you aren’t in the middle of the storm!

Just as I believe my body and mind function better when I’ve spent time pushing myself, I don’t just believe the gym makes me healthy and then I’m healthy. I believe it and ENDURE the difficulty of daily training my body. THEN I will be healthy.

You don’t just wake up full of faith. You must exercise it. It doesn’t have to feel good to be good!

My dear brothers and sisters, what good is it if someone claims to have faith but demonstrates no good works to prove it? How could this kind of faith save anyone? For example, if a brother or sister in the faith is poorly clothed and hungry and you leave them saying, “Good-bye. I hope you stay warm and have plenty to eat,” but you don’t provide them with a coat or even a cup of soup, what good is your faith? So then faith that doesn’t involve action is phony. ‭‭James ‭2:14-17‬ ‭TPT‬‬
