Deuteronomy 16:17
Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee.
- No one comes before an earthly King empty-handed.
- Don’t come before God empty-handed.
- Giving is biblical.
- Everyone gives either to God or to Satan.
- Giving provokes God.
- God is the greatest giver.
- Your gift is a seed.
- Gifts turn back to harvest.
- Giving is a leveler.
- God cannot owe you.
- Giving expresses God’s love.
- Your gift multiplies and comes back to you.
- God is the first person that gave.
- Giving is by faith.
- God rewards your gift.
- Give as led by the spirit.
- Give from your legitimate income.
- Give sacrificially.
- Sacrificial offering is putting ALL your income including the income for your daily needs into the offering basket- Mark 12 vs. 44- They all gave out of their wealth; but she, out of her poverty, put in everything — all she had to live on.”
- Don’t give a bad offering.
- Give a quality offering
- God is not impressed necessarily by the fatness of your offering, but by the quality.
- Any offering that does not cause you some pain and sacrifice will not provoke the attention of heaven.
- Give according to your financial strength.
- Give according to your income.
- You do not need to give what others are giving, but what constitutes a sacrifice out of your income.
- You cannot outgive God -Hannah gave God, Samuel her first son. God rewarded her by giving her three sons and two daughters.
- Give to fertile ground.
- Give to the church, ministry, kingdom, missionaries, evangelists, widows, poor, and strangers.
- Give your time, money, energy, skill, and talent.
- Give your life to Christ.
