Greetings
Greetings, in Christ, to everyone at CrossMap Blogs and to you, dear reader. I trust, in Him, that you are well. I write under the pseudonym M. Fearghail, but my home page shows my given name and biography.
This is my inaugural article on this platform. My original website is Appalachian Irishman. There, the header states, “The public journal and commentary, by M. Fearghail, started on 3/6/2006. As a Christian, I affirm the biblical worldview and the good in Appalachian-Irish heritage. 'Topic Sections' opens articles by topic chronologically. Have a cup of coffee and read for a while! My website is free – always. You're welcome to subscribe, contact me, and comment. My wife and I reside in northeast Tennessee.”
Introduction
My profile states the following:
I was born (in 1960), of predominate Irish heritage, and raised in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, in northeast Tennessee. The godly influence of my mother and the independent, stubborn disposition of my father raised me.
I'm an educated country boy, with international experience. Formal education includes: A.S. in management, B.S. in religious ministry, and course completion for an M.A. in missiology. Independent studies have educated me further, in several fields.
Mrs. Appalachian Irishman and I were missionaries in Russia for five years (1994 - 1999). She's a good wife, who puts up with me.
Please read my articles on Appalachian Irishman and watch my infrequent episodes on Appalachian Irishman - Podcasts, to dig deeper! You are invited to subscribe (without cost), contact me, and comment.
I'm just one poor beggar, trying to help other poor beggars find the Bread of Life.
Since the beginning on 3/6/2006, my original website has included 468 articles, as of earlier today. Articles are arranged chronologically, by year and month, under “Website Archive.” Articles are also listed in twenty different topics, under “Topic Sections.”
Appalachian Irishman - Podcasts (YouTube) started on 5/26/2022. At this time, there are 36 videos that are categorized into eleven playlists. The “about” information includes the following: “As a Christian, saved by God's grace through faith, I affirm the biblical worldview and the good in Appalachian-Irish heritage.”
Conclusion
I am just one poor beggar, who found the Bread of Life. I am trying to help other poor beggars find the same Bread.
During over six decades of life, I have enjoyed countless pleasant moments. I have also faced enough trials. One of these days, as the Lord wills, I may finish and publish a book titled “Light at the End of the Tunnel.”
American culture has changed, and it is changing even now. My original website includes the section Worldviews in Conflict, where 19 articles address the changes.
From Appalachia, this educated country boy is trying to encourage everyone to turn to or return to the biblical worldview. If we turn right and go straight, we will reach our heavenly and everlasting home. Anything else will miss the mark, ending in everlasting tragedy.
May God bless you, dear reader, as you keep turning right and going straight! Your comments are welcome on this platform and on my original website. Grace and peace to us all.
