Happy Thanksgiving

My thankfulness to God is not tied to or dependent on the possessions that surround me. Although I am thankful for all He has provided me, I am thankful for things I could not purchase on Amazon … or turn around and donate to Goodwill. My thanks to God is centered on His grace.

    • In His grace, God sent Jesus to us.
    • In His grace, God loved me despite my waywardness.
    • In His grace, God paid the debt of my sin.
    • In His grace, God gave me new life.
    • In His grace, God gave me peace and joy.
    • In His grace, God gave my life purpose.
    • In His grace, God gave me a future.
    • I am thankful for His grace.

And I am thankful for you. Thanks for stopping by my blog each week. I hope you’ve been encouraged.

“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His faithful love endures forever” (Ps. 136:1).

    Happy thanksgiving.

The Girl Who Doesn’t Like Me and I Don’t Know Why

She has a name. But in my house, she’s referred to as The-girl-who-doesn’t-like-me-and-I-don’t- know-why. Do you have anyone in your life like that? In social situations, she steers clear of you and refuses to make eye contact. When trying to reach out, you draw back an emotional nub of rejection. You rack your brain trying to figure out what you did to make her dislike you but come up blank. Read more...
